Happy Monday, writers! As a Chapter Break subscriber, you have access to my weekly agent update list, where I round up profiles of literary agents who have recently opened their doors to queries. (Everyone will get at least one profile; premium subscribers will get the list in full.)

Perhaps you’ll find someone new to add to your to-query list!

Here are 7 agents who opened to queries in the past week (September 16-22), along with information about what they’re looking for, some of their published titles, and their query link.

Best of luck, and happy querying!

Note that this newsletter is purely informational and is not an endorsement of any particular agent or agency.

Christopher Schelling of Selectric Artists

Christopher is always looking for commercial fiction, literary fiction, narrative nonfiction, graphic novels and graphic nonfiction (but *not* children's picture books), and new work from previously under-represented voices. Some categories have become tougher to sell - memoir, YA contemporary, science fiction (both adult and YA), domestic thrillers - so the bar is set even higher since he already has writers in those areas.

Some published titles: Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, The Woman Inside by E. G. Scott, Born With Teeth by Kate Mulgrew
