I’m curious to know how plot events come to someone so quickly. It’s my bane! I’ve got tons of ideas, but fleshing them out is a struggle. Thanks for the article
When I get stuck with plot paralysis I start asking questions. What conflicts are brewing? How is the mc coping with the conflict? What's the antagonist doing or feeling? Why is everything harder when you're a pantser? 😅
I really envy you for getting your plot so easily and fast. It takes me month to engineer a plot and then I deconstruct it while writing amd have to engineer it again. It’s like a big puzzle for me that only comes together in the end
Sometimes I get over writer's block by stepping back for a moment and just appreciating how far I've come in my novel. There's a reason it's called a Work in Progress.
Love hearing about a writer who wrote a book purely for themselves, for the love of writing, for the challenge of it. Art first, business second can be a beautiful thing!
Great advice all around! It's so so easy to feel defeated as a writer, but I'm glad Lindsey wrote this book for HER. We deserve to enjoy our own writing!
I just started writing a book, having no knowledge of how to do so, a few months ago. Then I got stuck. Then I found out what a “pantser” is and I was like, oh so that’s what I’m doing! Now I realize structure and plotting really may be my new best friend, but we’ll see. 😊
It can be easy to let reality get to me because I know publishing a business that has to do what it must to survive. Writing what I love is the only path I hope I'll need to take and maybe that'll prove fruitful.
Great post. I have been feeling a lot of imposter syndrome lately. As I edit my third novel, I'm reading a great one in the same genre (The Whisper Network) and I will often find myself thinking that my writing is nowhere near as good. It does push me to do better though.
I have one working way of getting over writers block. It's by pressing pause and drinking lots of wine, yogurt generally eating good food brings me back to writing and I know it sounds very crazy 😂 but that is my process and thank you for the amazing article
This was so helpful, and I plan on using chapter-by-chapter summaries to help me draft faster! I've resisted outlining for so long, and I need to let them guide me. Thank you!

I’m going to frame this and bust it out when I’m in a rut. Thanks!
I like seeing some plotter love!

A wonderful interview! I need more plotting in my life, but it's nice to see other writer's processes.
Plotters unite! 😃

I'm always encouraged to be reminded how other writers deal with imposter syndrome. It's definitely a thing.
I'd also love to win a copy of the new book!
What an encouraging interview. Thank you for sharing your insights and journey.
